Orthodontics
Straighten your teeth and improve your bite with clear aligners or traditional braces — for kids, teens, and adults.
Straight teeth aren’t just about appearance. Proper alignment makes biting and chewing easier, reduces uneven wear, and makes everyday cleaning more effective — which means fewer cavities and healthier gums down the road.
Whether you’re a teen who’s always wanted braces, a parent looking at your child’s crowded teeth, or an adult who’s finally ready to fix something that’s bothered you for years — orthodontics can make a real difference in confidence and oral health.
We offer both traditional braces and clear aligners, and we’ll help you pick the option that fits your lifestyle, your budget, and the result you’re looking for.
Straightening Teeth at Any Age
Orthodontics used to be for kids and teenagers. Not anymore. Roughly one in three orthodontic patients today is an adult — people who decided they don’t want to wait any longer.
Modern options like clear aligners make treatment more discreet and convenient than ever. You can straighten your teeth without the metal-mouth look most adults want to avoid.
That said, traditional braces are still the gold standard for complex cases. They’re predictable, effective, and often faster than aligners for trickier tooth movements. We’ll be straight with you about which option fits your case.
Orthodontic Options
Clear Aligners
Nearly invisible custom trays that gradually shift teeth — removable for eating and cleaning.
Traditional Braces
Time-tested metal brackets and wires for the most predictable, comprehensive results.
Retainers
Custom appliances that hold your new smile in place after active treatment ends.
Bite Correction
Treatment for overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites that affect comfort and wear.
Spacing & Crowding
Close gaps or relieve crowding so teeth fit and clean properly.
Early Intervention
For younger kids — guiding jaw and tooth development to make later treatment simpler.
Common Questions
Not even close. About a third of orthodontic patients today are adults, and we’ve successfully treated patients well into their 60s and 70s. Teeth respond to gentle pressure at any age. The bigger consideration for adults is gum and bone health, which we’ll evaluate during your consult to make sure orthodontic movement is a good idea for you.
It depends on the complexity of your case and which treatment you choose. Minor corrections can take 6–12 months. More involved cases typically run 18–24 months. We’ll give you a clear timeline at your consultation, and we’ll let you know honestly how close to that estimate we expect to land.
For mild to moderate cases — crowding, spacing, mild bite issues — clear aligners work very well and produce results comparable to braces. For complex cases involving major rotations, severe crowding, or significant bite correction, traditional braces are usually the more reliable choice. We’ll evaluate your specific situation and recommend honestly.
You’ll feel pressure and some soreness for a few days after braces are placed and after each adjustment, and similar mild soreness when switching aligner trays. Over-the-counter pain relievers usually handle it. Most patients say the discomfort is manageable and short-lived.
Many dental and medical insurance plans include partial orthodontic coverage, especially for patients under 18 or for cases where the bite is causing functional problems. Coverage levels vary widely — we’ll verify your benefits, explain what applies, and help you map out a payment plan for whatever your insurance doesn’t cover.
